Our Services
We Offer a Range of Services to Meet Your Needs
Residential Air Duct Cleaning
Even among the most healthy, dust and pollutants entering the lungs can trigger sneezing, coughing, and sinus and bronchial congestion. Air duct cleaning creates a more comfortable environment and promotes overall well-being while allowing your HVAC system to be at its most efficient.
Cleaning your air ducts is recommended every four years; however, many of the homes we service, it is the first time the ducts have ever been cleaned. Our Mission is to remove all airborne and solid debris from your HVAC ducts and help you and your family BREATHE BETTER. Our customers include people with indoor allergies, pet owners, homes that just had a recent renovation or remodel, respiratory illnesses, homes with lots of dust and people who simply want peace of mind by creating better indoor air quality.
You will be greeted by a lead technician who will explain the entire process, identify all supply and return vents, seal all vents with protective seals to prevent debris from entering your living space and provide before and after pictures of the job upon completion. Foot coverings are always worn, and floors and furniture will always be in the same condition as before the service. In-home estimates are always free of charge, and the owner, Mitch Cohen, is hands-on with every job, from the first phone call to the final vent being cleaned. Commercial Air Duct Cleaning
Much like families wanting to improve air quality in their living space, business owners are taking steps to improve work conditions for their employees and customers. Most people do not think to look up at a ceiling vent while shopping or at a restaurant enjoying a meal. When they do, they will often see the very duct supplying them with air covered in dust, dander and filth.
Post-pandemic air quality concerns have prompted many businesses to encourage employees to return to the workplace and bring in new customers. Some of C&S Air Duct Cleanings customers are Dunkin Donuts, Planet Fitness, The Governor's Academy, Sunnoco, LongHorn Steakhouse, Newburyport Housing Authority, Hudson NH City Hall, Matter Communications, Pizzeria Uno, NH SPCA headquarters, Mass Audubon Society, Methuen Veterinary Hospital, Two Guys Smoke Shops, Meraki Spa, and many of the areas leading HVAC contractors and home builders.
C&S Air Duct Cleaning also accommodates commercial customers with non-normal business hour services and emergency calls.
Dryer Vent Cleaning
Approximately 2,900 dryer fires are reported each year and cause an estimated 5 deaths, 100 injuries, and $35 million in property loss. Failure to clean the dryer (34 percent) is the leading cause of home clothes dryer fires.
C&S Air Duct Cleaning provides quick and affordable dryer vent cleaning solutions to homes, condo associations, and commercial laundromats throughout the Northshore. Using compressed air tools and soft brushes, we are able to remove all lint and other potential fire hazards from your dryer vent without causing any damage to the duct itself.
By doing so annually, you are also maximizing the dryer's lifespan and efficiency. If you notice excessive lint build-up or your clothes take more than one cycle to dry, call us to schedule an appointment.
Condensor Coil Cleaning
Keeping your outside ac condenser clean of debris (dirt, leaves, rodent infestation, splashback from rain and snow) will allow the ac unit to dissipate heat properly and keep the system at its most efficient and save you money in energy costs.
Annual cleanings will also prolong the system's life keeping you and your family comfortable for years to come if maintained properly. After removing all solid debris from the unit, a heavy-duty coil cleaning solution is applied to loosen all debris from the coil. Lastly, a high-pressure water spray is used to wash away the cleaner and all other loose debris.
Duct Sanitation/Remediation
Duct sanitation is a separate service from standard air duct cleaning but is often added by customers who are pet owners and have mold, mildew, dead rodent or odor concerns. After all ducts, vents and trunk lines are cleaned of debris, using a fogging machine, the cleaned duct work is treated with EPA-approved "Benefect '' all-natural disinfectant.
Foggers are exceptional devices for disinfecting as they turn liquid disinfectants into microscopic droplets that can coat any object or surface and penetrate tight corners and hard-to-reach areas. Benefect kills 99.99% of germs and bacteria within 30 seconds of contact and is also completely botanical, adult, children and pet friendly.
Cleaning Process and Equipment
Using portable Niko Industries 4000 and 5000 CFM Hepa-Vacs in conjunction with High powered compressed air tools, soft bristle rotary brushes and other air wips, we are able to flush all airborne and solid debris from the system entirely without damaging any duct work, solid vent or soft insulated flex vent. The lead technician will first introduce himself to the customer, identify all return and supply vents, and then shut the system off. After covering each vent with a protective seal to create more back pressure for the vacuum and prevent debris from entering the living space, the vacuum will be connected to the system's intake trunk first. One at a time, each intake will be opened from either the floor or ceiling, a picture will be taken, that duct will be flushed out, and then another picture will be taken to show its completion. After all return vents have been cleaned, the return trunk line will be flushed completely back to the vacuum.
Once this is done, the vacuum will be attached to the system supply trunk (heating and cooling vents), and the same process will be repeated as the one that was done with the intakes. A small shop vacuum is brought to each vent to collect any large solid objects such as construction debris, trash, pet toys and other miscellaneous objects we often find in air ducts.
Each area is left in the same condition it was found in by a technician wearing foot coverings. We take pride in detail and also use a 17-point checklist that is gone over with the customer prior to and after the job's completion. All before and after pictures taken will be shared with the customer so they can see the results.
A Note to HVAC & Building Contractors
Working hand in hand with some of the area's top HVAC contractors, C&S Air Duct Cleaning has developed a great reputation by performing system cleanings after air handler swaps and we are often sub-contracted to be part of their maintenance program. A clean system promotes an efficient system and prolonged life of the unit itself.
Also, working closely with some of the North Shore's premier builders, we are called upon regularly for an air duct cleaning post renovation, addition, or on newly built homes to guarantee the system will be void of any construction debris. If you are looking to add duct cleaning as one of your services, please reach out.
